What should my child bring to lessons?

Students should bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles (optional), and any required hair accessories. All other equipment is provided. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to change and get settled.
What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24-hour notice for cancellations. With proper notice, you can reschedule your lesson. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be forfeited unless there's an emergency.
How are students grouped for group lessons?

Students are grouped by age and skill level to ensure everyone learns at an appropriate pace. We assess each student at the start and may adjust groupings as needed.
Do you offer discounts for multiple children?

Yes! We offer a sibling discount for families with multiple children enrolled in lessons. Contact us for details on multi-child pricing.
How long does it take to learn to swim?

Every student progresses at their own pace. Some may feel comfortable after a few lessons, while others may take longer. We recommend committing to at least one 4-lesson package to see meaningful progress.
Can parents watch the lessons?

Absolutely! Parents are welcome to observe lessons from the pool deck. For younger children in our Baby Blue program, parent participation in the water is required.
What if my child is afraid of the water?

Water fear is common and we're experienced in helping students overcome it. We use gentle, patient approaches and never force students beyond their comfort level. Building trust and confidence is our priority.
Do you offer lessons year-round?

Yes! Since we use an indoor, heated pool at Sport Fit in Bowie, we offer lessons throughout the entire year regardless of weather.
